This is really more of an improvised work station. It appears to be nothing more than his typewriter placed on a box or very large book atop a pair of book cases. 

See. A nice standing desk can be worth the investment, but even Hemingway knew they weren’t always needed. Sometimes DIY is the fastest and best way to go.
